ABOUT THE ARTISTS:
JAMES MCMURTRY
James McMurtry is a firebrand Americana singer-songwriter who's renowned for his sharp wit and formidable songwriting talent. Born in Fort Worth, Texas in 1962, he grew up with music running through his veins. With a knack for storytelling and a love of blues and country rock, he's released a string of albums that have won him legions of fans and critical acclaim alike. His live shows are not to be missed, with McMurtry channeling all his energy, passion, and talent into every note.
McMurtry tours year-round and consistently throws down unparalleled powerhouse performances, reflected in the release of two live discs: the universally laudedLive in Aught-Three On Compadre Records, and 2009’s Live in Europe, which captured the McMurtry band’s first European tour and extraordinary live set. Along with seasoned band members Ronnie Johnson, Daren Hess, and Tim Holt, Live in Europe Features special guests Ian McLagan (Faces) and Jon Dee Graham (True Believers, Skunks).
BILL HEARNE
Bill Hearne is a well-known singer, guitarist, and songwriter in the world of country music. Born and raised in Massachusetts, he was first introduced to traditional country music at a young age by his parents, who were fans of classic country artists like Hank Williams, Ernest Tubb, and Johnny Cash. In the 1970s, Hearne moved to New Mexico and quickly became immersed in the local country music scene. He played in several bands and developed his own style that combined elements of traditional country with western swing, honky-tonk, and bluegrass.
Today, Bill Hearne continues to perform and record music, delighting audiences with his smooth vocals, impressive guitar skills, and heartfelt lyrics. He remains a beloved figure in the world of country music and an inspiration to aspiring musicians everywhere.
