ABOUT THE ARTISTS:
SOL FIRE
New Mexico’s Sol Fire is known for their unique sound that fuses rock with pop, R&B, and Latin influences. Formed by brothers Amado and Buddy Abeyta, the band tours prolifically and has received national praise.
In 2002, Sol Fire released “Self-Titled,” an album of all original music and made waves by playing music festivals and over 150 shows a year. In 2006, Sol Fire released “Third Floor Serenade.” In 2007, their original song, “She’s Got,” was chosen for the national compilation album “The After After Party” sponsored by McDonald’s and Coca-Cola. Their Latest release Hotel Marceline was mastered for vinyl at the famed Abbey Road Studios and their song “Live Your Life’ is currently up for a New Mexico Music Award.
SIMPATICO
Simpatico was originally started in 1994 by David M. Vigil and Antonio Ortiz, who were born and raised in Santa Fe. The band recently released two brand new original songs entitled “El Amor de Mi Mamá” and “Seas Para Mi” that debut their new and upcoming CD. With over forty nominations and ten awards from only three CD’s, Simpatico has proven they can release quality studio recordings. With the energy of the band these guys guarantee a good time, whether you like traditional rancheras or upbeat tejano styled cumbias.
