LA LOM
The Los Angeles League of Musicians, LA LOM, are an instrumental trio formed in Los Angeles in 2021. They blend the sounds of Cumbia Sonidera, 60’s soul ballads and classic romantic boleros that emanate from radios, backyard parties and dance clubs of Los Angeles with the twang of Peruvian Chicha and Bakersfield Country.
JACOB SHIJE
Hailing from the enchanting Santa Clara Pueblo in New Mexico, Jacob Shije stands as a multifaceted creative force, seamlessly weaving his talents as an Indigenous musician, artist, and photographer. With roots deeply embedded in his ancestral heritage, Jacob's work exudes a powerful sense of cultural resonance and creativity.
Melding the sounds of Ritchie Valens, Buddy Holly, and Roy Orbison, Jacob's music transcends genres, creating a unique auditory experience that bridges the past and the present. His melodies resonate with the heartbeat of his people, a testament to his unwavering connection to his roots. From soul-stirring ballads to foot-tapping rhythms, his music speaks a language of its own.
Beyond music, Jacob's artistic prowess takes form on canvases and through lenses. His creations capture the essence of Santa Clara Pueblo's vibrant traditions, offering a visual narrative that transcends time. With every stroke of his brush or click of his camera, he immortalizes moments of beauty and significance, inviting others to witness the world through his eyes.
In a world where creativity knows no bounds, Jacob Shije thrives as a modern storyteller, using melodies, visuals, and art to paint a vivid tapestry of his experiences and identity. With every note he strums, every image he captures, he invites us to explore the rich tapestry of his Indigenous heritage and the universal language of artistic expression.
