OH HE DEAD
Washington DC’s Oh He Dead brings their funky, poppy rock vibes wherever they go. Led by CJ Bowlin’ Johnson and her golden pipes, the five-piece group includes lead guitarist Alex Salser, Colin Sidley on bass, Adam Ashforth on drums, and Piano Whitman on keys.
The close-knit crew is known for their contagious joy, and for putting on a hell of a live show as Johnson “maneuvers her powerful voice — a combination of Stevie Nicks and Tracy Chapman” (Kojo Nnamdi) in rhythm with the band’s “sublime instrumentation” (NPR) and “infectious and soulful sound” (Washington Post). Their fourth studio album, Vertigo, is out this fall.
ISAAC ARAGON & THE HEALING
Isaac Aragón is an award-winning singer-songwriter from the high country of Northern New Mexico. His musical project, The Healing, is a powerhouse collective featuring fellow musicians Artha Meadors (bass), Dee Brown (keys), Paul Palmer III (drums), Sam Jones (guitar), and Antonio Garduño (percussion). Affectionately dubbed the “Soul of New Mexico,” the group has become known throughout the region for their riveting live performances—shows that are as innovative as they are rooted in the spirit of classic Soul revival.
Steeped in the traditions of Soul and R&B music, Isaac has earned widespread acclaim for his soulful vocals and prolific songwriting. Like many of his musical heroes before him—including Bill Withers, Marvin Gaye, and Stevie Wonder—he pairs feel-good grooves with lyrics that carry purpose, often exploring social and political themes.
After years of building both local and international recognition—including three UK Soul Chart hits and New Mexico Music Awards for R&B Song of the Year in 2023, 2025, and 2026—Isaac Aragón & The Healing officially released their highly anticipated debut full-length album, The Healing, on vinyl in June 2025. The album was produced by seven-time Grammy Award-winning producer and engineer Jim Scott.
