THE SUFFERS

Houston ensemble The Suffers is redefining the sound of Gulf Coast Soul, weaving together classic American soul, rock and roll, reggae, and hip-hop. The multi-piece group is anchored by the powerhouse voice of lead singer Kam Franklin. With horns blazing and Franklin's voice soaring, they've got a groove that won't let you stand still.

Since bursting onto the national scene with their acclaimed 2015 EP and 2016 self-titled debut, The Suffers have played sold-out shows in Japan and Latin America, performed at prestigious festivals like Newport Folk and Afropunk, and won over audiences everywhere with their live shows.

RON CROWDER

Ron Crowder is one of New Mexico’s most respected and versatile musicians—an award-winning singer-songwriter, producer, recording engineer and multi-instrumentalist whose work has shaped the sound of New Mexico’s music scene for over three decades. Known for his soulful voice, sharp songwriting, and deep rhythmic instincts, Crowder moves effortlessly between rock, Americana, pop, and roots driven styles, bringing a craftsman’s touch to everything he creates. An Albuquerque native, Crowder has traveled the world as a touring and recording musician, sharing the stage with acts as diverse as Three Dog Night, The Persuasions, The Zombies, The Main Squeeze and 3-time Grammy winner, Fantastic Negrito, among many others. As a long-time member of New Mexico’s recording studio elite, Crowder is also the owner of InCrowd Productions in Albuquerque, winning numerous awards as a songwriter, producer, recording engineer and composer, including Tellys, Silver Microphones, Addys, American Marketing Association, and is a perennial winner at the New Mexico Music Awards, recently winning Song of the Year, Producer of the Year and Best Recording Engineer. Today, in addition to his work in the recording studio, he performs regularly with his band, the Ron Crowder Band, which features an all-star lineup of some of New Mexico’s finest musicians.
